Last Friday, three other moms from church and I took our boys out to a pumpkin patch called Sweet Berry Farm near Marble Falls, TX, about an hour away.
The boys all had a blast! Most of them were 4 yo and under so I told NM he had to help [...]

Again the color is slightly off, this needs a tiny bit of magenta in it and it will look right.

It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World

(apologies to the movie title…i never saw it)

2 tbs. finely chopped green onions
1 tbs. chopped fresh dill
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/8 to 1/4 c. [...]

2 eggs
Line muffin pan with foil liners.
Place one cookie in each liner. Mix cream cheese, vanilla and sugar on medium speed until well-blended. Add eggs. Mix well. Pour over wafers, filling 3/4 full. Bake 25 [...]

My dad had a really nice, well-seasoned griddle like this and it was always so neat to watch him make pancakes on Sundays. You could make eight at once on that puppy which was always impressive [...]

Life With Boys

In today’s installment, we come upon a scene, a very active one, ripe with the heady excitement of boys at play. I share a small snippet of the conversation:
NM: We need central power!
J:  I found a dollar.
NM (delivered with great emphasis): We need central power!
J: I have a dollar…
NM (great urgency, eerily like Captain Kirk, [...]
